Basset Hound Puppies

lisa caldwell is from Washington and breeds Basset Hounds. My family of six has been in the same house out here on hood Canal for over 23 years! I am the mother of 4 kids, 4 basset hounds, wife of a fishing chief, and sister to my only sibling, Greg. We have an abundance of beauty, peace and area on a quiet road on Hood Canal. Previously, I was a high school teacher and enjoy kids and animals. When I was laid off, we had two more children and I began my dream of breeding/showing basset hounds. I spend so much of every day, caring, researching and improving all that I do with this breed I am so passionate about. Our most recent litter is our H litter. Wilson, our sire, is the infamous "Maple Street K9 Krunchies" who brings joy to our life every day. He is European, has amazing health, is fit yet stalky and has a soulful face. He is serious in nature and loves naps and traveling. Wilson is a tri color and has thick, plush fur and thick, strong bones, with lots of wrinkles, skin and "cankles". He is protective of his home, watching out for strangers. He is the perfect gentleman in public, and at the dog show, welcoming attention from others. He lets the girls eat first, such an unique quality for a basset hound. He has been working on his championship, following his father, "Maple Street Herbie the Love Bug"'s footsteps who has achieved his championship already. Though I do not expect you to show our puppy, the puppy is good enough quality to be shown. We have a few girls you are of excellent quality, 2 imported from Spain.  To see learn more about the future parents,or to see puppy photos, you can join our FB group site called "Bassets of Hood Canal, H litter, Wilson and Annie. You can see many more of my puppies and their owners on another FB group site called "Bassets of Hood Canal". We also have a webpage called "bassetsofhoodcanal.com" but it needs updating since we just got 2 more girls.  Our goal is to help you have the very best basset hound as a pet that is possible. Since there are so many poorly bred bassets in the USA especially, we import some of our dogs with strong championship bloodlines to validate the temperament/conformation is true to the basset hound standard. We want your basset to have a long healthy life span, and that you are getting what you pay for. This is is an investment that will thank yourself for everyday when you look/love your pet every single day. We feed a great quality food and give our dogs NuVet vitamins every day. They have great conformation, straight feet, strong backs, and easily do the job of what bassets are bred to do, run, track, and be lazy.  Your vet will be pleased, and you will be proud of your basset hound. If you ever want to show or do trial runs, or have a child who would like to do 4 H, this basset hound is the quality you need. We have about 3 litters a year, so please stay in touch if the time isn't right, or if you may be interested in our next European litter. Feel free to call or text me, I am always happy to talk your ear off about bassets. I am here to support you, but not be controlling as a breeder. 360-463-8902 I look forward to our growing bassets of hood canal family! AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual. The puppies in this litter are from AKC Registered parents and can also be registered with the AKC. Make sure to do research on this breed, and how it might fit your lifestyle before finding a responsible breeder with available puppies. read more

I spend so much of every day, caring, researching and improving all that I do with this breed I am so passionate about. Our most recent litter is our H litter. We have one baby girl available, a pretty tri color, "Hallie". Wilson, her sire, is the infamous "Maple Street K9 Krunchies" who brings joy to our life every day. He is European, has amazing health, is in fit and has a soulful face. He is serious in nature and loves naps and traveling. She is on the smaller side of Basset Hounds and easily jumps into the car, or on the bed. She is smart and is happy to roll over, turn around or sit patiently for a treat. She has a very bubbly personality and loves to play soccer. She just won her first blue ribbon in Vancouver. To see her and learn more about the two parents, see puppy photos, you can join our FB group site called "Bassets of Hood Canal, H litter, Wilson and Annie.
