Breeder Info: Color Star Farm Bull Terriers

Breed(s): Bull Terrier

Notice: All of Color Star Farm's current litter are now spoken for. Please contact us here or at bnaused@gmail.com if you would like to go on our Waiting List for a Spring 2017 puppy. Thank you for your interest. Color Star Farm's goal is to continue to produce high quality Bull Terrier's for the discriminating Breed aficionado. Whether your interest is in Showing or just bringing a delightful new Companion into your family, Color Star Farm invites you to consider us for your Prospect. We do offer shipping generally with Delta Dash, in a one size larger than necessary Crate for additional safety and comfort. And I will also deliver your pup in cabin since my airfare is often as affordable as what you'd pay for Live Cargo fares. If you can't pick your pup up in person, I will meet you halfway (I will drive up to 150 miles one way). Live Cargo Fares are available at Delta's website, plus the cost of a Veterinary Health Certificate (required by law), and the cost of a crate. I sometimes have good used ones available for $25.00. Full "Open" AKC Registration is offered under certain conditions and we can discuss that in more detail later. Limited AKC Registration is offered for Companion puppies. If you're new to these terms, Limited Registration means that no pups produced by that dog may be registered with AKC. It means "Pet", in other words not sold for breeding purposes. Sort of a tool offered by AKC to protect Breeders. Open Registration means that Dog may be shown in AKC sanctioned events as well as used for breeding purposes later on. The quality of a Pet/Companion puppy/dog is not different or less, rather reflective of the fact that most puppies DO go to their new homes to be a Pet and Companion. Serious Show homes occur at a much lesser percentage for all serious Dog Breeders. Bull Terriers are a challenging Breed to successfully produce, and it's why they cost what they do. If they were easy - they'd be everywhere for $500.00. And having said that.. you get what you pay for. All our puppies come with a 3 year Health Guarantee because we're confident of our quality, good health, and great temperaments. And we stand behind it. We encourage people new to the Breed that are considering a Bull Terrier to add to their family to take advantage of the information on the Breed here at AKC and at many other Sites available via an Internet Search to do your research in order to determine if a Bull Terrier is a good fit for you and your family. Due to being raised on our small farm - good temperaments are a big priority here and we strive to produce sane minds and sound bodies in our puppies. Proper Socialization begins here but must be continued from the moment you bring your new puppy home. Done right, you will end up with a loyal, fun, outgoing clown that will bring you many years of love and laughter. Bull Terriers love their humans and with the right introduction, training, and socializing - can get along with other pets as well as children. Many of my pups are now in homes with cats, other dogs, large birds, and livestock. Bull Terriers are not a breed of dog you toss out in the yard & leave to their own devices. They want to be with you. They aren't for everyone, but for some - they are the only one. We remain available long after a sale with helpful advice and tips but do some reading and/or attend a show near you to talk with other owners who can fill you in on the joys and the personalities of this fun breed of dog. It's easy to find a Show near you by visiting www.infodog.com where you can search by State. Most Shows are free to attend with just a small parking fee. Consider showing your Bull Terrier. It's a great way to socialize a young dog, it's fun and not difficult to compete in Conformation classes, and because our numbers are low compared to many other Breeds - you may just go home your first try with a ribbon and a nice Show photo for bragging rights to boot. Who wouldn't love that?!
